Restoring Light switches with Cerakote

My understanding is that Cerakote is just a brand name of one type of ceramic coating.
They offer a range of colours, good in some areas but lacking in others.

I was at the coaters a couple of weeks ago, getting some parts we get Teflon coated for work.

Amazed me that when I first went there, coating was being done on bunches of Reds Ross pistons, silver ceramic coating on car and bike exhaust headers etc. Of recent times they have jobs lined up for motorbike bike wheels, car hood hinges (rivets and springs in situ) and all manner of things.

I even had them Teflon coat a fibre (non metal) component to stop/reduce molten plastic sticking to it. I’m going in there next week to see if they can Teflon coat some silicone rubber. This would be a saviour in my line of work, let’s see.

While that’s good for their business, lead times have blown out because they are so busy. But their work is tops.
