Something a little more topical this month. Egli, some great engines have found their way into these frames. If you scan the classifieds you will have seen one of these on the net recently.

Happy voting

Triple trouble is very nice but I went with Marnix's bike. Its the one I'd rather have in my garage and maybe, if I had the bike I'd have a race face like that too!  :p

The red EGLI actually is the sister bike of mine and as far as I know the only other improved "B" version for the Lav750 with lifted engine for more ground clearance.

Both machines were commissioned in 1972 by Swiss Laverda importer Roland Borel, for racing purposes.

After it's Swiss racing career, it went to France and was turned into a minimalist street racer. I saw it for the first time during the famous International Laverda meeting at Breganze 1983 and it was this very machine (see picture) that made me want one. Note the Dresda 8 shoe brake and the cool position of the breather tube..

Later the bike went to Germany where it was rebuilt as in the above 'they seek him here' pics, a shame really..

To be honest, I like it way more in the current look. But then I also do not understand market prices for such bikes, so - forget about me... :-[

Like the look of the triple, though the frame concept is the wrong one for a triple I find. Again, just my 2 unworthy cents...

Marnix's egli for me, that's sort of what I want my next 750 project to look like.
Have almost everything except the Egli frame, probably end up making my own as I can't see myself coming across an Egli frame for fuck all dollars.
After seeing the issues ChrisK had with his spine frame probably best to make my own!!

I want to vote for Marnix, but keep going back to Debatable. Shit bodywork aside, there's just something raw and attractive about it.

Arrrhh, can I vote for two?

Our Man Marnix.

Lothar: To use a frame constructed in 1972 for a special in 80ies Egli style is a bit of pity in my view, but I bet the owner loves it too.

Thought this topic is more about aesthetics than market values.

Rob: I'd say go for it!

Marnix

Triple Trouble was was too good to go past. Couldn't help myself.
The Marnix shot is an absolute photographic gem though!

A gem it is, credit to the photographer.
In the future, as a grandfather, I hope to proudly show it to my grandchildren..  :D

Marnix

A hard choice between Marnix and "Triple Trouble"  but had to go for the triple in the end just because I have letched over that bike for so long!
Not saying you are not sexy Marnix but................

Exactly, neither is this an originality contest.... That's why I said I like no 5 more, it just looks so great...
  ;)

But it might have to do with the fact that my interest into bikes started in the 80's.  ???

;)

clearly MArnix's bikes.
Nice as some of the others look, they're show ponies, best illustrated in the Triple trouble's showing off pose in front of the burger stand.
Marnix' bike on the other hand, puts the money where the mouth is.

Marnix's twin for me.  Whilst I love triples, it seems the only one in the bunch with a purpose (much like Marnix's expression  :D )
