Indicator button/knob.

Hi everyone. Has anybody got a good indicator button/knob, or know where I can source one, from the LHS switch gear from any of the Suzuki switch-gear bikes. I've tried CSML and Suzuki but these things are like hens teeth. I'm located in the UK.
Cheers,
Vince.

do you have the broken parts? Find someone who can make a 3 D model and let it print.
I did so, but my are grey now.
If you don‘t find anybody, I could try……

Is this your guy Lothar? Bit pricey at 26 Euro, but I guess the market determines the price.

I made one out of epoxy about 10 years ago. Borrowed an intact knob off a mate's bike to make a silicone mould. Put a bit of black pigment in the epoxy to cast the new one. After tidying it up with a file and drilling the countersunk fixing hole, it came out looking pretty good. It's still on my bike to this day and nobody would pick it as a reproduction.

Hi All

If you have the broken bits, then JB Weld works well on this material. I have several thousand extra miles on mine since repaired that way. If the crack is neat its almost invisible - esp after a bit of marker pen.

Thanks for all your input guys. I had thought of going down the fashion my own out of epoxy route but the bay of fleas has come to the rescue.
Best wishes,
Vince.

Yeah, I am in a similar situation searching and waiting for the curved plastic light switch bit-thingy to pop up on eBay. Dellortomans solution sounds like a good one, definitely would not pay prices in Euros posted here.
Suzuki GS1000S switch on fleabay no 322360401184 although Suzuki postage is not cheap

Hope this helps

Probably best in view of some prices to buy a complete lh cluster and sell off the unneeded bits.

Paul
Paul, the GT switches are becoming harder to find, especially intact ones with the required parts for cannibalism, and their prices are reflecting this (and the postage can be just as high).

Although the Suzuki postage at £5 is not cheap (it seems to be the default price from them) for such a small part, at £7.91 it makes it almost a no brainer as a replacement.

Postage is £11 something for people not living in that ludicrously expensive bunch of islands known as the UK.
The answer is probably a 3D printer.

Suzuki seem to charge high postage rates - full stop. Even a fiver over here is high for small parts.

And I wouldn't single out our fair isles for high prices either Paul. Inflation, including postage costs, is everywhere.

If you were in business, would you want to sell an £8 part and then pick it, package it, transport it and post it for less than a fiver?
I am not in business but do sell parts, and I wouldn't do that!

And speculation on the £ making it hopelessly overvalued.

I'm not going to get into a bun fight over this Paul .

However, currency manipulation happens/goes on with most if not all currencies according to my (banking) partner at some point. It was pointed out to me that at least one European country had used it to boost their economy (to the detriment of others in the EU).

Enough said and I shall not elaborate further.

No buns, but Christmas pud has become very expensive.
