Many thanks to Brad for posting details of the International Rally.

For our European friends, Corbridge is located in the beautiful Tyne Valley and is just 30 minutes from the ferry terminal at North Shields, with sailings from Holland, Norway and Denmark. Otherwise, no matter which way you're heading from in the UK, a cracking ride is in store - from the south and east side, it's the A68 from just north of Scotch Corner (tighten up ya bungies!); from the south and west side, it's the top biking road in England, Hartside Pass from Penrith via Alston; from the north, well, take your pick - A68 from Jedburgh, A7 via Langholm or the more gentle route via Kielder - the choice is amazing.

We also have some superb rides planned for the Saturday, depending on your appetite for mileage, stunning empty(ish) roads and the amazing countryside of the North Pennines and the Border Country. Thanks too to Colin Nicholson - he'll be reading this - for his help in planning the rides.

Late bars have been arranged for Friday and Saturday nights, so this may impact on your plans for the following day.... An excellent band (as recommended and seen many times by the Hon. Rufus Bear AKA Ray Shone) is booked for the Saturday night and follows a professionally cooked and served barbecue - none of the usual 'melting-plastic-fork-cook-your-own-barby' here you know... Other meals are available too, so just turn up and enjoy it. It's always an excellent event to chill and chat with fellow enthusiasts over a beer or six :D

I am sending out tickets and directions (first batch have been sorted today) - please get your applications and dosh to me ASAP so we can plan the catering and beer.

Any queries, please shout - a14rgs(at)btopenworld.com

See you there!
Alan

Just three weeks away now

Please don't leave your ticket applications till the last minute - it really does cause problems with catering etc., and I may be away for a few days leading up to the Rally, taking 'The Long Way Up', so won't be at home to send out tickets...

Get your cheques and forms in the post today please! :D

Hope to see you there,
Alan
