SF1 rear brake spring
« on: November 09, 2019, 16:27 »
Hi, following surgery and a long recuperation period I am now in the position to carry on renovating my SF1 unfortunately for me one of my first jobs will be to fit a new rear brake return spring, that is the one that is on the rear brake lever and brake arm I have given it a half hearted attempt all to no avail so does anyone have any  suggestions on how to fit one.

All sensible advice gratefully accepted

Thanks in advance

Vice Grips are your friend when fitting springs of any kind. I do recall having difficulty when refitting mine decades ago - have had a rear disc since about 1979.
What ... leave it standard??!!
