I have no idea how to put a face book link on here but if you search for padlocks special on you tube you can hear it running in keithís workshop.
Went out for a quick blast tonight. Clutch now much improved after being bled but still not perfect. Think there may still be a bit of air in the system. Still cant get the bloody motogadget thing to read any speed. More tinkering needed. Oil change at the weekend as iíve Now done over 100 miles so no riding till then. Adjusted the rebound on the front forks but wont know what difference its made till the next ride. Iím no suspension guru so this is going to be a suck it and see type of thing.

Sounds great!!

Sounds really great..... nice work.
The initial attraction to motorcycling inflicts people for various reasons and at different stages in their lives. But once someone experiences the elation of riding a motorcycle thereís no denying the nearly spiritual effect it has.

Ok. So my first proper run on fbb. The suspension is shockingly poor but I can live with it for a wee while. On a steady throttle it spits and farts. The riding position and the seat are spot on once you get a move on but in traffic there is a lot of weight on the wrists and hands. Small issue with it leaking oil from the dipstick and still canít get the bloody speedo to register any thing whatsoever. Also think it may need a steering damper as it likes to shake itís head over bumps at 100mph plus( Iím guessing the speed ) seems to be very economical as Iíve yet to refill with fuel with over a hundred miles done and lots still in the tank. Gearbox is fucking brilliant, adjusted the throw of the lever and now changes up from second to fifth without the clutch. Keith put his formula cams in and the motor is so tractable from almost Tickovrr revs itís great. Third gear and twenty mph just wind it on and it picks up its skirts. Despite having bleed the clutch again it still drags a wee bit so some more work needed here. The seat unit also need some strengthening. Holy fuck I own a running badass laverda motorcycle and Iím guessing once itís run in and set up properly it will be one of the fastest around. Minus 200 kg and pluse100bhp makes for a quick forty year old motorcycle. Onwards.
