One of a kind I think, never seen another. Was made for a guy who raced a Jota before me.

Nice

Eye Hospital for me on Friday the 13th and the CIMA ride on Saturday the day after. Hopefully, I can take Brett up on a shim check and starter motor look-see sometime as well. I miss my bike and it needs a good tubing and oil change after Tassie

See you at ride on 14th  :)

I swear suspension changes according to the barometer. Took the heavier springs for a run today and hated them. Lighter springs back in, sag checked again, the rear has less preload on it now to get the sag in the zone. Tyre pressures adjusted. Ready to go.

When I set sag I also like to take a quick video to see how the rebound is working. Itís not for fine tuning but does spot when one end is rebounding noticeably faster than the other. Scrubbing the video slows it down to make that easier.

Avonís official tyre recommendations:
https://www.avontyres.com/en-us/tyre-care/technical/avon-general-tire-pressure-guidelines-1.pdf

Solo is based on 90kg rider.
Two up light equates to heavy bike and rider.

So Iím now running 26 front and 30 rear. Letís see if that makes the ride better still.

? that's really low for road pressures. I have Bridgestone T30 fitted and was running 37 front and 40 rear, recently changed its now 34 front. Their radial tyres though.

So that's their Classic recommendations. I wonder what they call classics. I think I would be using there Sports/ Sports Touring section.

Riding at the moment has the hazard of the equivalent of smoking 40 ciggies a day due to the bushfire smoke. Hope everyone is staying safe where they are close to the flames as well. Managed to get out this morning but this afternoon was a non-starter.

So Iíve been thinking about spring diameter i.e the amount clearance between the spring and the inside of the fork. The 1.1 spring from racetech doesnít fit in the fork. The 1kg and .95 racetech fit but Iím wondering whether itís binding at all.  I have another .95kg spring which is narrower and longer so Iím going to see how that behaves. Will cut the spacers tonight.

Springs changed, same sag thereabouts (not surprising given spacers cut shorter and same spring weight. Will see tomorrow.

Springs in compression will increase their diameter as they compress. So if the spring is a tight fit when relaxed, it could bind when it compresses.
