With the oil out the action is very much easier so perhaps it is those pesky valve things.

Drained the oil and replaced pumping to get rid of air, and opened the valves fully so in theory maximum flow and they feel much better - can push up and pull down with one finger.

Still going to try and get the gold valves installed and at same time get the rear shocks to Gazi for an overhaul.

Realised I had a second jack, which has turned out to be useful taking the suspension off both ends.

My wife decided to come down the garage stairs head first shortly after so further progress will have to wait until tomorrow. Quite a shock for us both, I swear another six inches forward and that would have been it, curtains, quite shocking to watch in slow motion. Luckily she appears to be just bruised.

:o Head first down stairs is not good, Ive seen it happen on Pirot, usually ends up with a body at the bottom of the stairs.

Females are lucky in such circumstances, their naturally fitted with a pair of airbags. ;)
The initial attraction to motorcycling inflicts people for various reasons and at different stages in their lives. But once someone experiences the elation of riding a motorcycle theres no denying the nearly spiritual effect it has.

Blimey Carlo. That headlong dive down the stairs must have scared the crap out of both of you. Hope the bruising goes away soon, or people might suspect you of domestic violence.

No oil thankfully, she was turning back to grab the dog who was trying to make a run for it and lost her footing. She remembers seeing me launch towards her throwing the spanners I was holding up in the air, and thinking I was going to hit the bloody dog.

Dog feeling more sorry for himself than anyone today as he had his knackers off.

Stairs and toilets are two places at home where a lot of people die.

I'm not surprised! He has to cancel all his appointments with the girlfriends!

The lesson there is not to have stairs going to your toilet.

Started looking at some rear suspension today while the Gazi are off being serviced.

Liking the look of these although not cheap. The old Gazi say they are adjustable but Ive found them to be pretty hard to change damping in any meaningful way, and although preload is set for optimum sag the rebound always seems off.

Gazi said they were aware of the problem on these older models and were going to take some valving out. As Gold valves are going in the front to complement the new springs I thought the rear should get the treatment.
