For those of you who are not aware of our previous exploits, this is just about the most fun you can have racing on 2 wheels. This was our 3rd year having a crack at it and certainly our most successful.

The race itself:

24hr "LeMans style" endurance race on 50cc scooters.
Each bike must be completely stock with only factory restrictions removed
Up to 4 riders per bike
56 Bikes on the grid racing around a 1.6km go kart track
Grid is split into 2 halves o the track to battle congestion with the slowest half starting from the back half of the track
Le Mans style start with riders having to run to the scooters, start them and takeoff for 24hrs of fun and excitement.
Race begins at midday. at midnight they reverse the direction of the track for the second half of the race
On average there are 10-20 riders hospitalized each year
Other riders in the event include Big names like Garry McCoy, Troy Bayliss, Jason Crump and a bunch of other road and dirt world champs.

We entered 2 bikes this year with 8 riders.
Bike #180 - Qualified 17th - Golden Panda, Virgil the Rooter, Aaron Jonesy Rabjones, Sammy Houston
Bike #73 - Qualified 22nd - Cosi, Jotaman (PFC), Crazy John Kerr, Sharni Pinfold

RESULTS:
Bike #180 - Placed 12th
Bike #73 - Placed 20th

Good on you guys. What  brilliant way to raise money for the charity. It looks like the weather gods were in a better mood than last year.

You may note our disco glow:

To add to Joey's report: the 20th for team 73 was hard fought, we lost 7mins due to the crashing of brains out (My turn this year) and consequently an increase in rider frequency change overs (riding with broken bits loses its cool after a while).
The 12th for team 180 was just plain Gold.

What a far out and funstermania event! Good on all you guys.

So? Pop the front wheel coming over the line for the chequered and hold it down the length of the straight?  8)
What ... leave it standard??!!
