Is he still in business?  Was he at Harvest Classic?

He got some bad press on here from a couple of customers recently which probably stung a bit.

Scott is ok, and is still doing work, he had a rough stretch but is doing better, I think he's a good guy and would help anyone out if he can, he's answered a lot of technical questions for me, and he does have a ton of Laverda knowledge.

Scott Potter did some very impressive work for me this past Spring. New valves, springs, valve guides and head work on old 3C. His craftsmanship, professionalism and integrity were perfect. Email: motolaverda@gmail dot com

I don't know how he's doing currently but I certainly hope he and his family are well.   He seems to me to be a nice man.  However,  I haven't heard from him in a while so I'm not sure of his current status. He has my RGS (previous owner was a gentleman in Atlanta) for a refreshing before I take possession.  I think I bought it  in the fall of 17 when it was already in NM with Scott.

I'll share pics and my take/impression of the bike when I get it.  So far I've only seen a pic. Scott did mention the Harvest thing, and I thought he said he was taking the RGS there.   But I'm old and could be confused.  LOL

I'm getting antsy after reading everything I could find on the brand and following this forum. Plus my riding days are nearing their end.  Believe it or not, the only Laverdas I've ever seen in person are  the ones in the Talbot museum in Carmel.  Will be nice to to have one in the garage.

With Carmel you mean Carmel by the Sea, California? If so, i missed that one when I was there... shame... one more reason to return!

Yes, that's the one.  Just 10 minutes down the road from HWY 1. A very nice collection in my opinion.  Mostly road/race bikes upstairs, and dirt bikes downstairs.  Every bike has a story and they do a nice job of sharing those.  Sorry, it's just Carmel to me.  I live in the Bay Area so it's relatively close.

well - looking at the map on their webpage, Carmel seems to be devided into Carmel Valey, Carmel by the sea and Carmel Highlands (just parts of the same town, but...). I was only walking through Carmel by the sea, not through the center of Carmel Valey. Shame on me...  :'( Something to keep in mind...

Do you know Richard Kendall then by chance? Had a chance for a night at their absolutely lovely place in Pacific Grove with one of the best sea-food dinners just close to their home in the "Beach House" at Lovers Point (https://beachhousepg.com/). Great memories...

We have similar upper class areas here in Australia, Lothar.  One that comes to mind is the Logan area just south of Brisbane.  There is Logan Heights, Logan Lea, Logan Vale, Logan Valley, Logan Meadows, Logan County, Upper Logan, Inner Logan, Logan by the Sea, Mount Logan, Logan Central, Lower Logan, Logan Sur Mer, St. Logan, Logan aix Provence, Logan Plains, Loch Logan, Logan National Park, Logan Grasslands, Meth Logan, Logan Point, and Lake Logan.  Some amazing architecture and a diverse population make this a must see when visiting Brisvegas..

wow... ok... we have different namings for parts of towns, too, like

Bergisch Gladbach - Bensberg
Bergisch Gladbach - Refrath
Bergisch Gladbach - Paffrath
Bergisch Gladbach - Center
... (some 10 or more might follow)

but they do not describe the location of the place. They are very old names of the settlements they grew out  or are named after a ressource that was won there 500 or more years ago. Sometimes they are named after a factory that was there some hundred years ago (like "Ghorsmühle, Lochermühle, Schnabelsmühle", which all were paper mills located in our town along the small but fast little stream called "Strunde".
