Club Laverda Queensland starts the year with thoughts and words for Rad.
After 20 22 years, Rad is still sadly missed.
22 years on and we go back and reflect on what matters with friends

Rad is with us in spirit

I see the Stranglers sticker on the bike, anyone else remember their parties back in the 80's?

The raffles were for a bloody good motorbike at the ones I went to. And you could buy hammer blows at some innocuous unsuspecting little Japanese commuter bike, at least if you could still see after shielding your eyes after Gaz´wizzer demo  :o

Yep, and reckon it was 1986(?) when the Stranglers raffled off a Ducati 900SS.
I recall tickets were limited and pricey but I managed to get one and was at that Stranglers party.

Paula won the 900SS. Lucky girl! Paula has Pete in her right arm and Rad in her left.

In 1987, CLQ had another run down to the Sawtell pub.
Met at Rabbi's, my Spondon was on the road, Pete rode the 900SS raffle prize, Cam had his black Duc 900, Paula on her Pantah, Rad and Pam on the '81 Jota.

At Ballina, Rad and I swapped bikes for a while to give him a go on the Spondon. Rad commented on how good the Goodridge braided lines improve the brake feel. Back then, you could make up your own.

The next day, we rode up the range to Dorrigo and Pete and I swapped the Spondon and 900SS to Bellingen.

Happy days

I sold a bunch of tickets for an sf2 raffle prize at one party. Can't remember who won it but it was another great party.
