Well Jim.... you have the correct fork yokes in your possession to put together a 3CE  ;)

I might need them on another bike ......

I suspect many of them gained 4Cs and extra stickers...

And quite a few went further than that

This one looks a better bet for not much more money:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LAVERDA-1000-3CL/173182164437?hash=item2852761dd5:g:nMkAAOSwhj9alEub

On the photo of the engine number you can clearly see scuff marks just to the left (of the number) which looks like something has been ground off, my bike has this too - what is it?

Cheers

Looks like it was ground down with sandpaper .......... true sandcast cases.
The initial attraction to motorcycling inflicts people for various reasons and at different stages in their lives. But once someone experiences the elation of riding a motorcycle there’s no denying the nearly spiritual effect it has.

Hi Matt,

I was wondering the same thing as mine has it too,.....I also put it down to cleaning up of the casing after casting?

OK thanks, I thought maybe somebody might have seen the raw castings in the factory back in the day and know what was ground off. It's not a problem, I'm just curious.
