Thank you but I wish I was were you are now, it's a bit colder here in Cumbria :)

Cumbria? Watch out for an Englishman called Paddy ...... rides an old Ducati Sport ........ likes to think he can brew beer and grow grapes. Horrible sailor too.

Correction ..... he's in Umbria. They kicked him out of Blighty for doing unauthorised renovations.

I don't care what color they are, they are all amazing looking bikes, perform way ahead of other bikes of the era, I say just ride the bloody thing and don't worry what anyone else thinks.

Lee, you are a forward thinking individual! I know exactly what I would like to do with the bike, the good thing is none of it needs to be done now

That's great ! a little poke to the rivet counters makes for some fun reading, also keep the thick web front wheel not many will even notice

Thick web front usually points to a shunt of some sort in the distant past... the thin webs were only available for a short time before they were superseded by the thick webs.   I'd check the forks and the frame around the headstock for damage.

Just sayin'...  ::)

It took only a glance at the bike in the showroom for me to think I had to have it. The test ride was the cherry on the top. Made the Z1900 I traded on it feel like a lazy fat pig.

bit harsh on the old girl  :laugh:.......can't have been running right  ::)

With you on the ride it bit, just over the "it's a Laverda triple it has to be orange deal". What is wrong with red, gold, silver, black, green FFS. No, nearly every bastard paints them orange. Rant ended.

Ride the crap out of it and you will soon be selling the Norton no matter what you think now.

I agree with Davo, a couple of rides on the Lav and you won't be thinking about the Norton much,and you won't need a catch pan under the Laverda, I wouldn't worry too much about what Piet said about it maybe being crashed ,the thin web wheels are soft as butter , so I've been told ,it doesn't take much to bend them,
