So its 2 weeks and counting for the new rear rim to appear at the wheelwrights. Seems it's coming from the Central Coast of NSW somewhere and going to Picton, that's maybe 120ks at most. If I knew it would be that slow I would have driven up there and hand delivered the bloody thing.Australia Post or Couriers, no idea who but pony express maybe.

Today, I made the first of my 'foot-peg' mounts right hand side. 10mm aluminium plate, spent an hour wet and dry rubbing, and polished it up on the buffing wheel.

Fitted to the bike, love it. Looks better than what was there before!

Pegs and levers arrive Monday, then I can attack the left rear brake mount.

Rummaging through my bits, I found a smaller m/c that I can use, has 8mm thread for the banjo, but I'll tap that to 10, and then get a braided hose made up ........ then of to the dyno guys.

I'm sort of hoping my wife, and avatar girls husband, get sick a couple of days before the flight :P

First time out in a few months since tearing some knee ligaments riding offroad, went down south of Perth, met Mike and his BMW near Wellington Dam, then rode the backroads in vicinity of Donnybrook, Nannup, Balingup.

There's lots of good roads down that way, but best on a weekday, too many tourists and sightseers on weekends.
