Comen996, it was not the color that made the price. It is the last of the 180 1000 triples, perhaps one of the last 50 made. They only came in orange. Owned by an enthusiast and a rider, not known for being limp wristed on the throttle, it is a well sorted low mileage example with a known provenance. I believe the Jota 120 may have brought as much if a previous owner had not  painted the engine and more was known about its chain of owners.  It also has too may little things incorrect to be called original. The SFC 1000 didn't cross the auction block until very late in the day and was a no sale. It sold to a private party in New York at a price around $20k. The blue RGA is simply misrepresented as it is neither a Jota nor the 10th one made. It is a standard RGA and the 10th example of an RGA of that year for the USA market. Due diligence suggests enough doubt to steer away from this seller. Mario's bike went to an enthusiast in Austin, Texas, also not known for limp wristed riding.  It has a very good home.

Scott
Not putting miles on your Laverda is like not having sex with your girl friend so she'll be more desirable to her next boy friend.

Cool, mine is being re assembled now and is titled as a 79. Here's a pic of the Mondial pistons that came all the way from South Africa via Shamrock that have been installed by Scott. It's going to be an awesome summer riding this bike.

very nice, what cams? 4C or F1? I have 4C's in mine, couldn't tell you what pistons are in mine but they are high comp, and the engine is very new, well as new as a 28yr old rebuild can be.The previous owner put all the high performance parts on it 36mm Dellortos, cams ,pistons ported head, and looks like he was in the middle of the valve adjustment, all intakes were on the tight side and then left it on the work stand till I bought it 28yrs later.very strange, wish we were closer,so we could ride together,I think I have the only Laverda's in upstate NY

If all the parts show up on schedule from out of the country, mid June is my pickup date.  ;D
